Featuring Mini-Hackathon: Wildfire Prevention
Teams of 2-4 with a mixture of tech/creatives are given 45 minutes to submit an idea to prevent Wildfires in Alberta to a panel of experts. Come be inspired by a number of experts; the selected idea will win a prize!
2023 has not been a good year for wildfires, where the season started earlier and the devastation felt is more intense than ever. Take part in the Wildfire Prevention mini-hackathon to help find solutions to prevent wildfires and protect our precious natural resources. Teams have 45 minutes to consider available data and approaches, sketch out new designs and collaborate relentlessly on creative solutions for wildfire prevention. Submissions are assessed by a panel of esteemed mentors and experts from leading agencies, who can also provide guidance and inspiration. More details provided at the event!
