“Stress and Anxiety” Mental Health Training

The Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH), in partnership with Lighthouse Labs, is excited to offer “Stress and Anxiety” training to provide strategies that may aid individuals in managing stress and anxiety effectively. This training is available at no cost to eligible applicants thanks to the ICT Boost initiative – a program funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program (SWSP). Eligible participants must be: * Minimum of 18 years of age * Currently residing in Canada * A Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada * Legally entitled to work in Canada (According to the relevant provincial and federal legislation and regulations) This workshop provides a high-level overview of how stress and anxiety might impact work. It takes a particular focus on anxiety in the workplace and guides participants through the 3-R method of addressing it. By the end of this session, participants will: Understand and contextualize stress and anxiety as multidimensional concepts. Increase internal coping skills through various modalities. Learn the 3-Rs: a framework for supporting co-workers. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate. Please note that these workshops are offered for educational or training purposes only in a group setting. They are not to be considered counselling or therapy sessions. Mental Health Workshops are offered as a part of the ICT Boost Initiative. Funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program.
