The consumer industry has thrived on a take, make, and waste economy that has pushed our planetary boundaries to the limit, and this panel will explore a wide range of sustainable solutions including topics around the circular economy, supply chains, and trends in consumer behaviours.
We’ll speak to experts who are using technology to develop novel materials, advanced manufacturing practices, and enhanced supply chain logistics to build a more regenerative economy. As a for-profit investment cooperative, Local Investing YYC’s mission is to enable Albertans to invest in our local economy for a sustainable future by providing capital to Calgary-based social entrepreneurs who generate financial, social, and environmental returns. Since its inception in 2018, Local Investing YYC has provided over $1.6 million to nine locally-owned businesses, making local investing more accessible to Albertans and harnessing community capital to build a thriving local economy.
