This event is hosted in at the KPMG Pitch Stage in the Platform Innovation Centre.
The past few years have brought rapid change to the data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence fields. Increased resources and investments by the public and private sector have significantly democratized access and adoption of these technologies.
In this presentation, Cybera’s data science team will reflect on projects they have worked on with small and medium sized enterprises in the start-up community, as well as the non-profit sector in Alberta.
The Applied Data Science Lab team will provide an overview on building and deploying a data science prototype on a remote server using VSCode, while incorporating version control, containerization, a client facing interface (or dashboard) and other key software development best practices.
Following the presentation, there will be a hands-on portion demonstrating how to spin-up your first JupyterLab container for data science applications.
Pastries and coffee will be served during the event.
The Applied Data Science Lab is supported with funding through Alberta Innovates.
