Meet the startups from Southern Alberta building innovative solutions to day-to-day challenges. Hear their big ideas in person on the pitch stage at the Platform Innovation Centre.
The Southern Showcase will kick off the summer with pitches from the Velocity founders, followed by outdoor games, a BBQ and patio weather! You’ll have a chance to chat with the Alberta Catalyzer team, meet the founders and hear about all the amazing work they’ve been doing in Alberta Catalyzer.
In this eight-week program, startups work with a coach to establish a strong go-to-market strategy, polish their pitch, get investment readiness basics, and work towards qualifying for scale-up accelerators. The Velocity learning stream is delivered in person and the cohorts are divided into Northern and Southern Alberta. Check out the Northern Alberta Velocity Showcase in Edmonton on June 22nd!

Alberta Catalyzer is part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program, led by Alberta Innovates. The consortium, which also includes Jobs, Economy and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited, the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), allocated $35 million over three years to retain business accelerators. It’s part of an overall government goal to help create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030
